FAQ

Is this a government website?

No. DOT Due Dates is an independent private service. It is not affiliated with FMCSA, USDOT, the IRS, the UCR Plan or any state. Every filing we remind you about can be done directly with the agency.

Where does the carrier information come from?

Public FMCSA data published on data.transportation.gov, such as the company census file. It can lag behind FMCSA's live records by days or weeks.

How is my MCS-150 due date figured?

Under 49 CFR 390.19T, the last digit of your USDOT number sets the month (1 = January ... 0 = October) and the next-to-last digit sets odd or even years.

Do you file anything for me?

No. We only send reminders. We never file, and we never ask for your FMCSA, Login.gov, IRS or state logins.

What do the free reminders include?

Email reminders before your MCS-150 biennial update for one USDOT number. The lookup itself shows all your deadlines for free.

What does the paid plan add?

For $19 a year: reminders for UCR, IFTA quarterly returns, Form 2290, IRP renewal and MCS-150; a daily re-check of your FMCSA record with change alerts; what to file and where in every reminder; up to 3 USDOT numbers and 3 email recipients; and a calendar feed.

Why not just put it in my phone calendar?

You can, and for one date that works. The catch: you have to work out each date yourself (the MCS-150 month and year come from your USDOT digits, UCR fees change by fleet size and year, IFTA is four dates a year, 2290 depends on first-use month), and a calendar entry never notices when something changes. The Carrier plan figures the dates from your FMCSA record, re-checks that public record every day, tells you what to file, where, and what the official rules say happens if it's missed, emails up to 3 people, and gives you a calendar feed so the dates land in your phone calendar anyway.

How do I stop reminders?

Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
