If you run an interstate trucking company based in South Carolina, these are the recurring federal filings to track. Enter your USDOT number to see your own dates.
South Carolina by the numbers

Source: FMCSA Company Census File, refreshed daily. The public file can lag FMCSA's live records.
Recurring federal filings
- MCS-150 biennial update: every two years, month set by your USDOT number (table). Free in Motus.
- UCR: annual registration for interstate carriers (guide).
- IFTA: quarterly fuel tax returns, filed with your base jurisdiction, which for a South Carolina-based carrier is generally South Carolina (due dates).
- IRP: apportioned plates renewed through your base jurisdiction (guide).

South Carolina may also have its own intrastate rules, weight-distance or permit requirements. Check with the state's motor vehicle or transportation agency.
